Vatharia is a hobby browser game made by one developer in Belgium. This page explains what the game stores about you, why, and what you can do about it. We do not sell your data and there are no ads or trackers.
What we store
- Your account: login name, email address and a scrambled version of your password (we cannot read your password).
- Your game: your name in each world, your villages, armies, messages to other players and your profile text or picture if you add one.
- Fair play checks: the IP address and a browser fingerprint you play from. We use these only to spot one person playing several accounts. Kept for 90 days.
- Game actions: a log of what you do in the game (build, train, attack), to solve bugs and cheating. Kept for 60 days.
- Bug reports: what you write, an optional screenshot, your IP address and some game numbers.
- Login cookie: one cookie that keeps you logged in, for up to 30 days. No other cookies.
- Discord (optional): if you link Discord, your Discord user ID and name.
Why
To run the game and your account, to send you mails you ask for (confirming your address, a new password), and to keep the game fair. Nothing else.
Who else sees it
- Other players see your name in the world, your villages, your profile and the messages you send them.
- The game runs on a rented server. Mails are sent through an email service.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
- Delete your account yourself at any time: Worlds → Account → Delete account. Your login name and email are removed right away.
- You can ask what we store about you, ask to correct it, or ask us to delete it: mail officialvatharia@gmail.com.
- You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
Age
You must be at least 16 to create an account.
